The Grand History of OakClan

~~Our History and Present~~
Oakclan was formed by OwlStar's father, LemurStar. He had been in Windclan, but hated it with all his heart. Because of this, he ended up betraying them. By telling Thunderclan of Windclan's plan of attack he ruined the battle. Windclan's leader discovered this, and cast him out. He was bitter, he was outraged. So he lured a she-kittypet into the woods and claimed her for his mate. He had always been skilled in tree-climbing, and had often wandered into Thunderclan's territory by climbing the trees on the edge. He taught the kiitypet Ariel his skills, and they traveled for many moons. Finally, they found the redwoods. Ariel was heavy with kits, but Lemurfur helped her to the highest Hollow in the biggest tree. An owl flew by the next day and noticed the cats. The graceful white barnowl alighted on the branch and asked why they were there. After hearing their story, she understood. Lilith, the owl, flew across the land, looking for more loner cats. She brought them all to the tree, and told them, "If you, dear cats, can climb this tree to it's full height, then you are worthy of this brave clan." some left, but most made it to the top. To this day, if a loner or stray cat wishes to join, then he or she must climb to the top. The clan thrived, but only because of the owls. They are friends of Oakclan, and Lilith now lives in one of the empty hollows, along with her daughter and son. OwlStar became leader by choice of the owls, such becomes the tradition. The owls have told OwlStar of some clans nearby, but she is not worried.
